Hi all, I bought a harmonic balancer puller today so I can fix my fan housing rattle on the weekend. My engine is looking a bit oily on top, so I thought I might find out where that is coming from at the same time. Last month I replaced the oil cooler seals (Jim could you please send me your oil cooler seal FAQ?), because it had oil in the same place, on the left hand side of the crankcase, with a thin film from front to back. I wiped everything off then, and it has returned. Also, after rebuilding my fuel pump not so long ago, some of the grease has come out of the little hole on the bottom of the pump and deposited itself in a lump on top of one of the nuts that hold it down. This area is also oily, but I am not sure if I just put too much grease in or if it got pushed out by oil. There is also some oil around the 'inside' of the oil cooler where it bolts on, so I am wondering if it could have a crack in it or something? Apart from those areas I can't think where else the oil might be coming from.
