It might fit, but first you would have to attack the cooling air problem. You would also have to come to grips with an engine for which a set of spark plug cables would cost you more than $350! There's nothing about a Porsche engine that is affordable; this is strictly a rich man's car. I have a friend who ran a Porsche shop for awhile. I used to stop in there occasionally just to gawk. It was facinating, but it was entirely out of my league: $600 tune-ups, $75 for a set of spark plugs. A different mod to the timing chain tensioners every year for a couple thousand dollars. These people really don't live in the same universe that I do. It's so bad that even a FREE engine is not a good deal. The follow-up costs are just too great. They are great cars, but they are in the category of, "If you have to ask how much, you can't afford one." -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
