Sorry Greg- accidentally sent this to you direct- new mail system fooled me No- its definitely a different wheel- the rim is quite squidgy and on its back you can see little bubbles from when it was cast. The horn push is identical in form to the normal wheel, but again a very different construction- hard plastic backing with silver painted edge, and dash pad style black foam front and the aluminium silver centre badge with black crest. It has the colapsable steel construction under the horn push and identical clips to hold it on. Maybe it was from a rabbit or a K70 or something? (not sure about the years for those) but didn't early Golfs (rabbits?) have the same style steering wheel as late Type3s? Mark > > Could the rim just have a fancy cover?
