I had heard from various people that the MWS wheels had a kooky offset which seems a bit of a shame. What's the stock beetle offset? cheers, Dan '73 Fastback ---- -----Original Message----- From: John Jaranson [mailto:jaransonT3@comcast.net] Sent: 19 February 2003 23:58 To: type3@vwtype3.org Subject: FW: [T3] London Speedwells BRM Oops....Sorry Phillip, still getting used to the new List reply defaults.....intended for this to go to the List. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> These look really nice. Anyone actually running them on their Type 3? According to the CIP website, they are 5-1/2" wide with 3-5/8" backspacing. This works out to only 22mm offset. The stock Type 3 offset is 46mm. I would suspect that these would rubber the fender lip some. If my calculations are right the outer rim of the wheel is a whole 36.5mm (1.44 inches) further outboard then the stock 4-1/2" rim with 46mm offset. Just curious.
