These seals should be pliable. Your old ones are simply old. The chenge is mainly due to heat, not gasoline contact. The new ones will take the same shape after a few years of being squeezed in there. New ones are the same as those for L-Jetronic injectors and should be fairly easy to find/buy. I wouldn't bother trying to find something to make these from; there are just too many variables in elastomer composition and properties to want to go to all that trouble for 2 more seals.
