This is nice! Ive always wanted a place that we can reference the different Tach options (T3 or universal) that are out there. Go ahead and leave my name in it, thats fine. As for the right tach? I think that is just a universal VDO... Black face with Grey style numbers... thats wrong for a T3 part, the true black face tach's had matching number style (as was shown recently) and all T3 tachs (again... with the possible exception of the T34) had needle caps that were visible... not under the center disc. The "German original" tach in VWT this month may indeed be German VDO but I dont believe it can be called T3 because of the way the needle sits under the disc and doesnt match the other instruments. i *Believe* that the one in VWT (the german original* is also a custom made conversion... but it may simply be a universal. Just my thoughts... Jim Russ and others that were familiar with the original accessories, you ever see any that you knew were T3 and had the needle cap under the center disc??
