Points not opening up (adjust dwell,) points sticking open (replace points,) 
condenser shorted, condensor wire pinched and shorted, rotor punctured thru to 
ground, rotor resistor open, leakage track in cap, contact brush in cap 
broken,....

Sure, plus lots of other possibilities. Bad coil is one of the least likely 
ones.
