Ive done them, but discovered that the aftermarket tach guts have an inherant problem with the inability to maintain calibration over the temperature range. The coil changes considerably. So Ive never really been happy with the guts Ive used and dont want to spend huge amounts money on $$ tach's to find out the guts are the same.
