hi ive got a cal look front seal i got it and fitted it this summer to replace the original seal that really was in a bad way cracked at all 4 corners badly and in my mind i thought would start to leak at any moment it had been like that since i got the car about 3 years ago. well the cal look front seal leaks bad its odd how its leaking water is comeing in not where the seal gos on the screen surround but by some sort of mysterious capilary action getting past the seal under the glass then ouses out on the inside!!! now a long time ago i remember a thread where it was said that for these seals to fit correctly some rubber must be trimmed of the inside edge of the seal where it seats against the headliner and above the dash inside edge basically anybody remember this ??? now i need to get this fixed as its permanantly wet at the minute and im not happy about having a wet car !!! neil verdon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
