If you're just going by what the Compufire lit says, then they probably give 
the max, which would be with 8 cylinders going 8000 rpm. We draw less, but I 
haven't measured mine, either.

The only real problem I see here is with the driver who uses his brakes all the 
way down a long hill instead of downshifting.   ;-)
