	I think the sensibility factor depends a lot on why someone's 
buying it.

	I would consider some day paying up to a couple of hundred 
bucks for a nice-condition period-correct type-3-specific tach.  I 
would make the purchase because I had budgeted such a sum of money to 
blow on "fun" and because I thought it would be neat and cool to have 
such a tach.

	I would be a fool for paying that much just to learn the 
rotational speed of my engine.  I would be happy scoring such a deal 
if going "oh, lookee!" gave me sufficient grin factor.

	I do actually have a tach in my Bug.  I think it cost me 
about ten bucks with shipping.  I love it.  I wouldn't have paid a 
dollar more.  I've had more expensive lunches that have been less 
satisfying than this little tach!
