Well I replaced the cracked overflow hose over a year ago...no telling for how long it was cracked though. The car has not been driven much lately, though I haven't ever had a problem with the pump prior to this. I took her for a drive, which was fine, then my wife wanted to take her somewhere, that's when the pump failed to start. Ill double check the overflow hose, but I suspect it will be fine. However replacing the fuel filter is a good idea...I think I have let that one slack on my maintenance schedule...Its been about a year.
