Get it running right first, so you can start finding and fixing all the other things that need work that you don't know about yet. In other words, you have to learn to walk before you can worry about running. > Im very very unfamiliar with this engine output as you can see. > what output would get me say, 10 sec to 60? I really don't know. Someone from "the dark side" will have to answer this. I would expect something a bit more than a doubling of output would be necessary. That's not going to come easily or cheaply. You're probably talking about a completely different engine to start from. > a carb setup would increase or decrease output on a stock engine? Could go either way, but at the beginning at least, it would probably decrease because it would not be jetted right. > I do have a good knowlege of engine work as I have rebuilt the engine in my > jeep, and knocked ~2 seconds off the time it takes to get to 60. . Our stock 0-60 times are likely to be on the order of 20 seconds. It should be fairly easy to make a 10% improvement. 50% is quite a bit harder. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
