Take her out for a drive to warm her up and park with the engine still running. Get a friend to hold the throttle at medium RPM while you measure the voltage across the battery. It should measure 14.1-14.4V; if it comes up less than 13.5V replace the voltage regulator with a Bosch 30-019. If you do the work yourself, remove the battery ground strap first, put it back last. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
