Another suggestion, given the schedule you've got outlined so far, would be to schedule a couple of tech sessions each day, but have some EVERY day. I suspect that this is the kind of thing that most everyone can benefit from, but no one wants to sit thru more than 2 in a row. They need to be broken up by the more social aspects of the event. If there was lots of interest, perhaps we could do 2 each morning and one each afternoon, or vice versa.... And, while you're soliciting suggestions, here are a couple of things that we missed at the premier Invasion: Name tags: Funny how I wasn't able to recognize hardly anyone from their cars or faces. The name tags should include all of the following info: real name, email address, email nickname (if different,) and maybe even a car description. Car tags that include the owner's name(s.) I didn't think if it last year, but by next year I'll have a nice description of my car printed out to go with this. I urge everyone to come with something similar, but there should still be a standard Invasion form. As great as the first Invasion was, I felt lost because I was constantly struggling to put faces and names together with cars and email nicknames so I could try to put everyone together with the list personalities that I thought I already knew. I'm TERRIBLE with names, so I need lots of help with this. I had a great time at last year's Invasion and I feel like I made a lot of friends there, but I'm just so bad with names that I don't remember who most of them are. ;-) -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
