If it's going faster it would have to have a higher rpm, unless the gearbox was different. ;-) I guess the lighter, lower body is the reason - more streamlined. A Squareback kerb weight is 1034kg, and a Fastback is 1010kg. Was it 940kg quoted for a Type 34? Dave.
