It came out about 14.4v, I replaced the vr about a year ago (at last emissions) I hooked up me 5 dollar pressure gauge to the fuel rail and it measured ~23 psi on a 60 psi gauge (by 2's). now I don't remember it being that low. Could there be something wrong? I went ahead and took it down to ~21 to help pass emissions, should I, after emissions, take it all the way up to 28-30? Or might there be something wrong? There are quite a few threads sticking out of the adjuster. The car runs fine, and I get about 22mpg. Just changed to oil back to 10w40. yah. After I replaced the cap, rotor, and plugs, it seems to vary idle from 780-825, I didn't readjust the idle to 850. the timing still was right about on tdc. And the dwell id 50-51. I am off to take the test again. Wish me luck! And one more thing. I checked the valve clearance one last time (3rd) and they were all right on. But I am still hearing, what sounds to me like, excessive valve clatter. Could there be something else wrong to make such a noise. Perhaps it is normal clatter, but I *think* it is too loud. nathan http://www.orntar.net/project/vwt3.html 70 fastback ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
