> What is the best option for lubricating locks, hinges etc. For the locks, graphite powder works well, but I think it is worthwhile to completely disassemble the door handles and latching mechanisms, clean them out, and add new grease. I did this to my old '70 Fastback. Made a HUGE difference. Still need to do it to my current '69. Fot the hinges, the manual suggests motor oil in the reservoirs on top of each hinge. There should be little plastic covers on top of the pins. Pry them up (if they're still there) and add oil. No more squeaky doors. -Mark Fuhriman ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
