----------------------------------------------- Okay, checked the spark and all is well there. Now what should we try? ----------------------------------------------- Get an extra spark plug and then remove one of the spark plugs from its plug. Don't pull on the wire; reach down and squeeze the end of the connector to pull it out. Then connect this wire to your loose plug and lay it down on the engine in a location where the spark plug body is against something metal and you can see the spark plug gap. One of you should then try to start the car while the other one watches the gap. Can you see a spark there? It's just important to verify that you actually have spark before you start to worry about other things. ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* Sammy, our '69 FI AT SB wants to start but just can't quite seem to do it . . . . . . . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
