My professional jacks only go 20-21". An easy way to support the AT trans. while the engine is out, is with a wire coat hanger. Slip the wire through the upper part of the bell housing, and through a drain hole that is under the center of the engine cover rubber seal. Twist the 2 ends together and there you go. When reinstalling the engine, you can put the engine almost all the way back in before you have to cut the wire. -- Russ Wolfe '66 FB MT '71 FB AT '65 Bug (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
