I've never seen anything like it before either, so it must have been a combination of rate of evaporation and humidity - ah, Steve had hosed the car down so there was quite a bit of damp around on a fairly dry day otherwise. I guess there wouldn't be many days when the dew point was a lot lower, the ambient air very damp, a gas leak and a breeze to increase evaporation. That cotton-covered hose spreads the fuel out well. It's pretty rare to even wash a car here, I'm ashamed to say - though the weather does a good job usually! Looks like we may be the only ones interested though, Jim. ;-) Dave.
