[T3] strange electrical problems

<x-flowed>Hello all,

My generator light bulb was burned out, so I replaced it, and now when the 
generator light goes on my turn signal lights also go on.  Also, when I use 
my turn signals, when the turn signal lights flash off, the gas gage rapidly 
moves from whatever it's reading (3/4 tank) to empty, then when the lights 
flash on, the gas gage reads normal.

I checked the wires at the back of the cluster, and noticed a black wire 
that is soldered to the generator light bulb socket, and passes thru the 
back of the cluster.  It's not connected to anything.  Does anyone know 
where to connect this wire?

I grounded it when I had the key in the on position - before I grounded it, 
my turn signal lights were on, along with my oil and generator lights (car 
not running).  After I grounded it, the gen and oil lights went out, and the 
turn signal lights shone ever so brightly.

I find this all to be immensely confusing.  Does this make sense to any of 
you guys?
