My muffler certainly doesnt look galvanized. Maybe a difference between US and Euro market? Or maybe mine isnt a Walker after all? As I mentioned in the reply to Jim's mail there are no definite stamping on it, just a "MADE IN W GERMANY" stamping on the heat shield.

Here is my obligatory muffler pictures, as you can see it is the same type as the one Everett posted earlier. No, the tail pipe is not original, it is just a generic 2" 90¼ bend for weld-it-yourself systems. Looks a bit darker :-)

And with the mentioned of galvanized, other Walker mufflers I've experienced arent galvanized either. They usually rust from the inside out. It looks like they are only covered with zink (sp?) paint.
