I have been on lists (including this one) where censorship threatened to rear its ugly head due to the fact that some people thought every post must be perfectly appropriate to their individual case (even though it was T3 related or whatnot), and didn't know how to use the "delete" key when that didn't happen. Consequently, I do censor myself to a degree (probably not as much as I should) for fear of being chastised or disliked or thought to be the "annoying" one on the list (too late?)... Sometimes I don't post because I'm sure people are sick of hearing from me, especially when no one replies to a previous post. Anyway, the flip side of the coin is that I think maybe this post proves people are sometimes *too* gunshy when it comes to posting theory or opinion, particularly when to do so would take a lengthy post. Personally, I would love to hear as much theory or analysis as someone has to give, especially if that person has experience with the topic. If nothing else, it provides a great reference for those searching through the past posts on type3.org for information on the topic. And if it gets too technical or involved, or if the information is not valuable to a few people, they shouldn't be afriad to hit the delete key and they're past it. Martin posted a pretty involved analysis of his experimentation with VW heads from different countries/companies a few months ago. While that information was probably extremely valuable to some people, it didn't apply to any of my situations at the moment. However, am I glad it's there for the day when I need it and can go search again for it? Definitely. So here's one person anyway who says let the posts fly. I always know where the delete key is if I'm not interested in a thread. Our list moderator might have a different opinion on this though, in which case I'll humbly step back into my cave and hibernate for a while longer. :) Aaron ===== ---------------------------------------------------- Have you driven your Type 3 today? http://www.tiserves.com/VW/ ---------------------------------------------------- __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
