I remember feeling exactly the same way when I first started driving my type 3 in March of 68. Clearly I was used to having much more room in there and not needing to take as much care with how I positioned my feet. I even recall wondering if this was going to make the car totally unreasonable to drive. A little driving experience with it made the whole problem just slowly go away, and I can now drive it with my big Red Wing workboots without a second thought. I haven't even thought about this "problem" in years, so I suggest that you just stick with it and you will also find that it will just disappear. Of course if you have size 13 shoes, or if your pedals are actually bent, you may have a real problem, but I suspect that's not really the case. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
