[T3] What appears to be a fuel leak...

Hi all,

I pulled the engine today, in order to replace my practically nonexistant exhaust
donuts & eliminate the pesky exhaust leak, and tinker a bit..

Everything went back together okay, she's a touch reluctant to fire up, but starts..
though I did notice that as I put the throttle down it bogged down as opposed to
wound up... before it died.
I've been toying with the ignition (replacing the aftermarket coil with the one that is
stock) so I figure I've got a little work to do, but the car fired up, so I'm not way out.. I
continue to attempt to start the car, and it continues to catch on, then fall on it's face
when I take my foot off. After a short while it ceases to try at all.

This is when we notice the puddle of what looks like gas forming under the engine.
Recheck each hose junction, and the length of hose for good measure, dry as a
bone. Nor do I smell gas fumes, just a puddle of what smells like dilute gas under
the car.

Is it possible that I've flooded this car like no other car has been flooded before?

1970 (pretty sure) stock FI
I plugged the cold start injector back in..
I was also pushing the pedal to the floor listening to all the clicks after priming the
lines each time before attempting to start the car, when it started, it was a pain to
keep running. I had the foot to the floor to maintain a little bit above idle RPM with
the clutch depressed.

I'm thinking it's flooded, and my adjustments to the ignition system aren't sitting too
well. I was planning on changing the oil as soon as the engine was warmed
anyway.. please let me know if it would be wiser to change it cold at this point (in
case of serious fuel dilution)

I'll dig into it tomorrow, any ideas in the meantime would be a ray of sunshine!

On a side note I've decided to dedicate an email address entirely to the type 3
passion, hence I'm dropping "Earthman?" into more utilitarian duties.

Thanks,
Curtis
