I have never had any problem with flames and brake parts. It isn't THAT
flammable. Watch WRC races, or a Sebring race at night and see how hot
brakes get under hard use.
But I think all that he needs to do is get the adjusters backed off.
There is a ridge on the inside of the edge of the drum.
