The AT fluid is above the pan when the car has been sitting. The Torque
converter drains back to the pan after a period of time. This is why
they will sometimes leak after sitting for a while, but don't leak if
driven every day.

I would suspect that it is just gas out of the tube in the frame. Does
it smell like varnish???
