<x-charset Windows-1252>My brother used to "fly" down the freeway using the inherent T3 control surfaces to attenuate his position in the flying lanes. A big of left "wing" window actuation, and the craft would veer to the left. A bit more right "wing" correction to level off and maintain original directional orientation. Upon alighting onto earth (as opposed to water), one only has to actuate the hood/bonnet air braking feature to slow back down to terrestrial control speed. BTDT, have the dents. Jeff '67 Sqbk -----Original Message----- AllanW=> so if I can travel at 8000MPH, I should be OK. HalS=> I'd be more worried about prop/wheel cavitation Seem to me that at that speed you wouldn't have to worry about bouyancy *or* cavitation, as you'd be flying. Control surfaces, now there's your problem. Not to mention engine cooling outside the ionosphere. ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/ </x-charset>
