[T3] [T3]full flow

is this the kind of full flow that will work with a type 3 engine. i 
understand you have to cut a whole in the support bar, but will this cover 
then fit? this sounds a little high too. when i talked to the vw machine 
shop in town they said its like 20 for the cover and 20 for the machining.
