Thanks for the info so far!  And such quick replies too!  I'll check
with WCM and see what I can find.  I'm really kicking myself for bending
the original trim, as I knew it would be difficult to replace, but then
again, I think I could probably do it over ten times again and still
have the same problem, it was very delicate, in my opinion.  At least I
feel better because it was in bad shape, rusted.  Thanks again!  If
anybody else has any other sources, please let me know.  The junkyard
may be out of the question, because I live in Indiana, the only junkyard
I know has one rusted out super beetle that has been totally stripped.

I'm pretty convinced now that I want to stick with the american style
with the chrome trim.  What is the "plastic spool type strip" you talked
about.  And does ISP have a website or a catalog?  Thanks,
