[T3] auto-transport horror story

<x-charset iso-8859-1>hey all.

good to be back on the list. Since last we spoke, I've transplanted myself from one end of I-10 to the other.

Now, may I rant?
Got my squareback hauled across the continent by an outfit called AAA Auto Transport, based in Las Vegas. They're the only company that guaranteed my car would stay on the same truck, with the same driver, and not spend random days in random storage lots across the country.
The same driver showed up right on time, in the same truck. And that's where the good news ends.
My exhaust system was ripped right off the heads from careless unloading - the header got shoved WAY forward, and knocked the starter out of its housing. From driving it up & down the ramps, this "profesional" auto hauler managed to burn the clutch completely out (I mean completely! absolutely no material left on the plate!), and my handbrake lever was ripped clean out of its socket, lying on the passenger footwell.
And of course, AAA Auto Transport accepts no responsibility. It's now in the hands of Nevada AG's office.

Lesson learned: trust no one. Should've rented a flatbed and done it m'damnself, I guess.

Anyhow, looking for fellow T3'ers in greater LA - mail me offlist if you want to get together.

Thanks for listening.
