If not, can you take them apart just to double check? Did you notice that the valve springs are wound tighter on one end and that this end should be placed against the head? > The exhaust looks completely free. I can blow air through it no problem. It might still be somewhat restrictive. You could try putting the engine back in without the muffler and see if it starts and runs better that way, just as a quick test. Not to beat a dead horse, but the firing order is 1432.
