<x-charset iso-8859-1>> They were too big for carry-on, but was fine as checked baggage. No > questions asked, except curiosity. I didnt even have to pay extra! > Hmm - there was a good front bumper with the black tape rather than rubber fill at the Madison WI VW show after Parma. Maybe I should have brought it back with me, though it was only what a good re-chrome would have cost here, so wouldn't be much advantage for all the effort. Check-in luggage for my flight was max 2 pieces, up to 30kg each, with a specified total L+W+D. I reckon a bumper might have gone as check-in baggage. There were certainly some pretty big things that came off onto the carousel. The pair of pretty sound late front fenders with good chrome indicators, lenses, rubber seals, bulbs, side trim and even a good aerial, that I got at the European Type 3 meeting for $40 (40 Euros) was some compensation anyway.
