Re: [T3] type IV engine in a type III

Matthias,

I just finished putting a 2.0 in my 69 square. Feel free to check out some
of the details at: www.wilsonwebb.com/vw.html
I need to put the remaining pictures on there, but it will give you some
idea of what needs to be done.
As far as the bellows goes, most people merge a 311 and 411 bellows to make
it work out.

"hey all, i just wanted to gather some input. i recently acquired an extra
type IV engine that was originally in a 914, by the engine number i have
found it to be a 1.7, early 70's (earlier than '74)...nothing special but
it has potential (i hope). so, i was wondering about the potential to drop
it into a type III. the only thing that i can see is the way that the
cooling tin pulls in cool air from the bellows, if this was adapted to fit
to the type IV it would work just peachy right? are there any other concerns
i have missed?
