<x-charset iso-8859-1>Hello- BTW, a few words on Sanden compressor nomenclature. There are two "main" different things to keep in mind. The first is the number of pistons (5 or 7) and the second is the displacement of the unit. 7 is more *efficient* than 5, but also pricier. Big displacements move more freon and so cool better, but also may use a little more power and are bigger to fit into a cramped engine bay. The old style of nomenclature is a three-digit number. The five-piston units were SD505, SD507, SD508, and SD510. The 5, 7, 8, and 10 is the displacement in cubic inches. Seven-piston units begin with a 7 rather than a 5. The new style of nomenclature is different. For the five-piston units, we have things like SD5HD14. The 5 is the five-piston bit, and the 14 is the displacement in tens of cubic centimeters. IOW, a 508 (~8 ci) is a 5HD14 (~140 cc).
