true, normally it shouldn't, but i've got myself, my wife, and my four kids to think about...i'm not yet sure if they would all be up for a late night back to camp or what so it's in the air still....(it may end up just being me and my 2 older kids, that would make it easier...) -matthias portland, oregon '66 type I '74 type II '67 type III fastback (* Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop. *) Matthew Russell Imaging Specialist / Illustrator ZIBA Design 503.402.8839 - direct line 503.223.9606 - ZIBA Portland Brian Schlepp <bschlepp@thermoformingsystems.com> Sent by: <type3@vwtype3.org> 09/04/02 08:13 AM Please respond to type3 To: <type3@vwtype3.org> cc: Subject: [T3] the yakima show for us Northwesterners Matthew wrote: i'm going up friday and was thinking about camping close by saturday night, however camping sorta conflicts with drag race spec/participation.... Why would camping interfere with the racing? We always have people leaving the races late and going to the camp site. We have a person that is responsible for the camping, and the gates at the old camp site were closed at a certain time, but not locked. I believe the new show site will host the camping also, and there is no gates. The racing can go as late as 11-12pm. There is always my place, for anybody on this list. There is a quicker back way to the show from my house also (only 10-15 minute drive). The only problem might be that I am supposed to be at the show at 6am. I think I will be late, or leave a key with someone (responsible) so everyone that wants a shower can have one (as long as the hot water lasts). Swap vendors enter at 7:30 and show cars enter at 8am. We try to have the show wrapped up by 3pm. Brian Schlepp Yakima, Wa - with an acre to play with.
