Jim - I think that I figured it out, or you tell me. I was under the impression that the clutch arm (on the tranny0 was alway suppose to be straight up at a 90 degree angle. I guess I thought that because in all the books it is always shown that way. I am hoping that it isn't always the case. To adjust mine it has to be at maybe -15 degrees. Am I correct? Thanks - Wilson 69'Square (now from the darkside - 2.0) > The problem is that I can't get the cable tight after it comes out of the > sleeve, and upto the clutch lever. Do you mean that you can't get a dip in the tube AND that the cable is always loose? If you can't get a dip in the tube, then check where the clutch tube exits the pan. Is the weld broken there? If the cable is always loose, broken welds, as above could do this, but it could also be that the cable eye has slipped off at the clutch pedal end. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
