 Jim, this might work out ok, but I don't have any experience with it. What I 
use is the tape that I buy at a camping trailer suppy store. It comes in 
different widths, and is pliable,doesn't shrink or harden (works very well 
for me). It is used for sealing roof vents, windows and other stuff on 
camping trailers. I hope this helps.
