Hello everyone, My fasty is doing the same thing. Every time I shift from 2nd to 3rd I get grind, and when I go from 4th to 3rd it grinds. I replaced the clutch/pressure plate and throwout bearing. Do you guys think I need to weld the tube up? I am not hearing any noise, Like when you do have a loose tube. > If you still have > grinding of gears > going into gear, then start looking at a bent clutch > disk or possibly a > clutch broken loose in the tunnel. > > -- > Russ Wolfe > '66 FB MT (It drove) > '71 FB AT > '65 Bug (not running) > russw@classicvw.org > http://www.classicvw.org > > > > ------------------------------------------------ > To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> > For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/ ===== Erick the daddy- 68 fasty, 63 Notch Updated 8/27/02 http://community.webshots.com/album/19887209ssBljlIzPh http://community.webshots.com/album/24709950SAghTTbUHL http://community.webshots.com/album/41466306gEEGgO http://community.webshots.com/album/45233956bBVuUD http://community.webshots.com/album/48491788KuTwZz __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
