[T3] I installed my , new data.


I installed my Mexican VW head today on the 3 and 4 CYL side,
with no problems at all . 

Compression for 3 and 4 was 125 pounds , a little higher than 
my old MOFOCO head. 

The temperature for the cylinder 3 and 4 on the MOFOCO 
head was 50 to 75 dregrees higher than 1 and 2.
When 1 and 2 are at 250 degrees, 3 and 4 were around 325 degrees.
As the temperatures rose , 3 and 4 stayed from 50 to as
much as 85 degrees higher than 1 and 2 .

This was with two identical MOFOCO heads.

With the Mexican head on 3 and 4 and MOFOCO head on 1 and two,
I had a surprizing result....


The Mexican head is about 25 to 30 degrees cooler than the
MOFOCO head (1 and 2)making it over 100 degrees cooler 
than the old MOFOCO head it replaced on cyl 3 and 4.
So when cyl 1 and 2 is at 250 degrees then 3 and 4 is at
220 degrees and so forth.

I think the Mexican head is obviously made cooler.
I noticed that the Mexican head had alot of flow through 
cooling around the valve stem area, even better than the 
German ones, in other words the head is made to flow 
lots more air around the valve areas. MOFOCO has ALOT MORE
fins around the valve area but virtually no cool air 
flow from top to bottom.

I think this head will last me a long time. I will let 
you guys know. My quest for the best head maybe over,
some offroad racers (Baja 1000 types ) recommend them 
as well as a premier head porter recommends them,
he was featured in VW Trends or/and Hot VW's on head 
porting enhancements, they say that they have never 
ran into any problems with these heads (no cracking,
no loose valve seats etc...)
