This would be getting a constant +12V to the hot side of the cold start valve when the car was on -- which, if it were cold outside, would flood the engine, because the c.s.v. would be getting grounded through the thermo switch. Do we know if the mechanic actually witnessed the four main injectors staying open, or just a flood of gas that could have come from the so-called "fifth" (cold start) injector?
