Greg and Russ, He hasn't given them anymore $ in fact he took it back to his home today and is trying to fix the problem himself. I think the seller doesn't want to give me the car not running correctly because he wants the price we agreed upon. I believe it may also be that he doesn't feel comfortable letting it go for a little less, and then having it turn into a huge problem. Which I think is very noble. We will figure it out one way or another. Thanks for all the input, I feel a little more comfortable now. Being a VW newbie (well I don't do alot of my own work but I am starting to learn) I get nervous when it is something I don't know about, and unfortunately, being a woman, I have found out the hard way that people will try to take advantage of you and take your money! I think I am going to try to fix this one myself! Thanks for the support guys! I will keep you posted!
