<x-flowed>Yes, they are "positive" cabin vents. That means that theer is a low-pressure area that actually sucks air out of the cabin when you're driving. Well, at leawst, that how they're supposed to work.

my '73 fastback has the usual rust in the rear pillars around the air
vents. the rust has spread so much that the metal drain tubes inside
have huge holes in them.
