I've been debating having stockton wheel pop the centers out of a set of rims (bug rims of course don't want to damage a nice set of T3's) and mount them up on wider outer pieces. 15x6 super stock rims... ooooh... 15x7's ...aaaaah .... they say they can even take 15 centers and make 16" wheels out of them ... ohhhhh.... slap some low profile tires on a 16x6 and you could end up with one nice rim w/ stock looks and stock circumference. * pause to wipe drool * This would also allow for a custom offset. What do you think would be a proper offset? stock 46mm? A bit larger since the rim is now 1.5" wider? Most likely I would go the 15x6 route with 205/50 tires. Are changes in offset & wheel width going to have an affect on the geometery of the frontend. It seems to me that it should, but if the end result of the alignment geometry is the orientation of the spindle, then modifying distances along that axis isn't going to change anything. I feel like I'm missing part of the equation.
