Your breather is blocked, so pressure can build up in the crankcase and this 
forces oil out along the rear of the crankshaft. the oil gets flung out by the fan 
and you see the result at the generator cooling hole.

Is this engine the original '70 one, or is it a later one with TWO plastic plugs 
on top of the breather box?
