Re: [T3] Fuel pump rebuilding (kits FS)

>what pressure did you get with your rebuilt stock pump??

There was no change in pressure after the rebuild. It was 3.5 PSI
before and after. I measured the spring rate of old and new and they
were the same, aobut 6 lbs at 40% compression (spring gauge is .060").

On an interesting note, the pressure did not vary either reving in
the drive, or on the road under load. I even put a shut off valve
after the pump, and it took over 3 minutes to run the carb dry. This
was surprising. As it was starting to die, I opened the line up and
pressure droped to .5 to 1 psi and climbed back up (pulsing) in under
10 seconds to 3.5 again. This leads me to believe there is more than
enough flow
Keith, did you use the double diaphragm design? This might be
crucial to allow the part to flex. The used one had concave bulges on
each piece.
