This has been sticking in my brain for the last couple days, I had some fan trouble a couple years ago when putting together some odd source cooling parts. I took a look at these two fans I have on the shelf side by side. With the engine side facing down on the table, one fan measures 47mm to the fanblade engine side, the other fan measures 33mm to the same spot, dimesion "x". My recollection was that the 47mm fan was the one that was the odd size, and I have no idea what car it originally came from.
