Look at the rear wheel arch - front face.  Is the underseal at all lifted?
Is it really as solid as it appears?  Look under the back seat - is there
any signs of rusting in the corners by the wheel arch.  Shine a light into
the fender louvres, front part - any rust visible/

This is a favourite way in for water - between the double layers of metal,
behind the underseal then through the panels into the rocker area and out
the lower heater outlets.  It can even be a problem on otherwise
perfect-looking cars.

Is the front fender to body joint OK?  No rust up behind the fusebox etc?
