Hey Martin, I've been thinking about this for a while too. My idea is to use a hydraulic pedal assembly (like a race car or sand rail) for the brake set up. The hydraulic lines would have to be run on the side of the tunnel for the rear brakes and the clutch. I've also been thinking about using a RHD dash from a Type 2. I've seen this grafted in as a LHD, but it would be cool to have a RHD Type 2 dash grafted in. The steering box switches over, the tie rods can swap, I think a pitman arm needs to change to a RHD version (did someone mention this?). But, what about an off road rack an pinion set up? This way, you wouldn't have to find the pitman arm that is different. And you could route the steering via some universal joints. That could solve the gas tank problem. -- Phillip Bradfield Member: Rose City Volksters - http://rosecityvolksters.com 1969 Variant - Savanna beige, No engine, Chopped 3.5 in. 1968 Variant - Granada red, No engine, with 67 euro fenders 1963 1500 - Ruby red, 1600 with dual Solex carburetors 19??
